{"id":292,"date":"2014-09-11T16:53:21","date_gmt":"2014-09-11T16:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/parachute-club-cannes.com\/?page_id=292"},"modified":"2014-10-24T08:37:04","modified_gmt":"2014-10-24T07:37:04","slug":"cannes-parachute-club","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.parachute-club-cannes.com\/en\/cannes-parachute-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Cannes Parachute Club"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>History<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cannes Parachute Club was established in 1959 under the status of sports association under the Direction General of Civil Aviation (DGAC).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At that time and until the late 60s, it was possible to jump sporadically on the aerodrome of St. Cassian and the field of Fayence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sessions were also organized on the <a title=\"Le Luc \u2013 Cannet des Maures\" href=\"http:\/\/www.parachute-club-cannes.com\/en\/le-luc-cannet-des-maures\/\">field of <\/a><\/span><a title=\"Le Luc \u2013 Cannet des Maures\" href=\"http:\/\/www.parachute-club-cannes.com\/en\/le-luc-cannet-des-maures\/\"><span class=\"s2\">the Luc<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> which was a reserve aerodrome within naval aviation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">From 1970, courses were offered on the center of Chalon sur Saone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In 80-90s the association has grown significantly to become one of the leading clubs in the <b>French Riviera<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Member of the Union of CEPCA (Skydiving Center School of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur), Association members have contributed greatly to the development of the platform of the Luc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The head of the club is hosted in Cannes, 12 rue General Ferrie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the past the Cannes Parachute Club had a room where the members met at least once a week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The evolution of volunteerism and generalization of communication tools, such as mobile phones and the Internet have led us to abandon the meetings in a room. All requested information is processed by phone or email. The members meet on the platform jumps.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The association today<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The role of the association is to ensure the recruitment of <b>new members<\/b>, guide <b>beginners<\/b> and encourage them to persevere in practice by following and supporting their progress.
